Debate competition at IAMR, on International Mother Language Day

Annually 21st February is celebrated to promote awareness of linguistic and cultural diversity with multilingualism. In Indian context it had a due weighted due to huge number of languages and dialects being spoken all over in India. A small but firm step was taken in this direction when a debate completion was held at IAMR NCR campus to spread the message behind the celebration of this day as International Mother Language Day.
In this event students had participated enthusiastically with zeal and a mission to not only protect our mother languages but also to promote them. Some of the students who had performed well in this debate completion are Lalik Sahrawat, Kishan, Manisha, Lalit Kumar, Shitiz, Barkha, Vaishali, Pooja, Deepali. With this the PGDM Students had prepared the Quiz for the students and adudience.
The event was inaugurated by Secretary IAMR, Group of Institutions Mr. Sanjay Bansal, in his speech he emphasized on the importance of language in the development of the society and economy both at the same time. He was of the opinion that we should not neglect our mother languages but at the same time must balance between what we wish to communicate and how to communicate. With the increasing number of hindi speakers and brand image of our nation due to the spread of yoga and Indian Traditions internationally Hindi as a language is gaining with the days progressing.
At the end Joint Secretary of IAMR Group of Institutions, Mrs. Anshu Bansal and Dean Academics Prof. (Dr.) B.P.Joshi had distributed the trophies and certificates.
