Faculty Development programme on Entrepreneurship

16th to 18th Feb’ 2015

Three days Faculty Development programme ( from 16th to 18th Feb 2015) at NIESBUD Noida campus was organized by “The National Institute for Entrepreneurship and Small Business Development (NIESBUD)” is a premier organisation of Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises engaged in training, consultancy, research, etc. in order to promote entrepreneurship.   The Objective of the programme:

  1. Expose the participating faculty members to the comprehensive Entrepreneurship Development process and equip them to coordinate, organize entrepreneurship related activities in their colleges / polytechnics / schools.
  2. Equip them with requisite skills, knowledge and competencies for effective initiation of Entrepreneurship Awareness Camps and Entrepreneurship Development Courses in their institutions.

Two faculty members Prof Sanjiv Layek & Prof Manish Kumar attended the event. The event was inaugurated by Honorable Director General of NIESBUD Mr. Arun Kumar Jha. He emphasized on Entrepreneurship culture in Institutions. He also encouraged becoming an Entrepreneur to create jobs not to seek jobs. There were technical sessions and experts like Mr. Anurag Mittal, Mr. Kumar Manu from SBI, and Ms Sampa Banerjee from NGO from various organizations and faculty members from NIESBUD contributed their views on entrepreneurship, Govt. Shemes, Govt. websites for information regarding Govt. Schemes, Self Help Group (SHG) concept. The participation provided very rich exposure to the participants about the Entrepreneurship and such activities performed by various business organizations.
