One day 9th Annual Summit on Corporate Frauds – Risks, Preventions, and Challenges for Good Governance – Tuesday, September 29, 2015 at Hotel Shangri-La, New Delhi organized by ASSOCHAM.

The Objectives of the programme –

  1. To understand the concept of Corporate Frauds
  2. What are Risks, Preventions, and Challenges for Good Governance?

The event was inaugurated by Dr. Bhaskar Chatterjee, Director General & CEO, Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs and Member of Central Council of ICFI, Welcome address was given by Dr Ashok Haldia , Senior Member, ASSOCHAM & Member, NACAS and Managing Director & CEO, FTC India Financial Services Limited. Mr Arpinder Singh,  Partner and Leader- Fraud Investigation & Dispute Services, Ernst & Young LLP delivered Theme address.

The event was divided into two technical sessions. Ms Hema Ramakrishnan Senior Editor, The Economic Times was the moderator of the first technical session. Key speakers of technical session, Ms Jyotsna Chaturvedi, Principal Associate , Maheshwari & CO. focused on legalities of Corporate Fraud. Mr Pavan Duggal, Panel Budget Associates, Advocate, Supreme Court of India shared valuable information about Cyber Crime.

Dr. Bhaskar Chatterjee focused on the following points to make a career in Digital Marketing-

  1. What is Corporate Frauds?
  2. How Corporate Frauds is the trend among Global and Domestic Companies
  3. What are the Risks and how to prevent Corporate Frauds ?

Faculties and Students from PGDM 1st Semester attended the event.

The participation provided a rich exposure to the students about the Corporate Frauds. Students interacted with the Corporate Leaders and various business organizations participated in the event and learnt a lot about practicalities. Students also demanded such kind of event in the future.
